Privacy Policy
BafGo Kitchen is a local-first cooking timer. There are no accounts, no logins, and no user data stored on our servers. Your kitchen layout, timers, presets, and custom background live only on your own device. We can't see them, and neither can anyone else.
1. What we don't collect
Using BafGo Kitchen requires no account, no email, and no personal information. We do not require you to provide a name, an email address, or any identifying details to use the timer.
2. Where your data lives
Everything you configure — your stove, oven, and grill layout, active timers, quick presets, night mode setting, and any custom background you upload — is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is not uploaded to any server. Clearing your browser data will remove it.
3. Voice recognition
Voice commands use your browser's built-in Web Speech API. Speech recognition runs entirely on your device — your voice is never transmitted to a BafGo server or to any third-party AI service. This is true by design: there is no server-side audio pipeline.
4. Notifications
If you install BafGo Kitchen and enable notifications, they are handled by your device's operating system and browser. We do not receive or store any data from your notifications.
5. Analytics
We use a privacy-respecting, self-hosted analytics tool (Umami) to understand aggregate page views and interactions on the BafGo Kitchen website and app. This collects anonymous, aggregate usage data such as page views, referrers, and device type. It does not use cookies for tracking, does not identify you, and does not collect your timer contents, layout, or any personal data.
6. Contact form
If you send us a message through the contact form, we receive only the details you choose to provide (such as your name and email) so we can reply. We use it solely to respond to your enquiry and do not sell or share it.
7. Third parties
We do not sell personal data. We do not share customer data with third parties. The BafGo Kitchen app itself stores nothing on our servers and has no third-party trackers.
8. Your rights
Because we hold no personal data for app users, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete on our servers — your data is already under your control on your own device. If you have questions about this policy or a privacy enquiry relating to the contact form, email support@bafgo.com.
